While it's great to call into school for notification, there's a significant difference.
Actually, it would be libel, and the burden of proof is reversed. Monoghan wouldn't have to prove it was true. Fox would have to prove it was false.
If Monaghan would say that he personally saw it happen, or heard it first or second hand, Fox would have a hard time holding a libel case.
