My 2001 WS6 Trans Am is rated for 29 MPG HWY and that was 10 years ago. Best part is I get nearly the same mileage as the VW and I don't look like a total flamer driving it.
Everyone here needs to get their facts straight, Studebaker was the 1st manufacturer to go mainstream with a supercharger. Most of their high end cars in the late 50s and early 60s were supercharged. And yes turbos are a type of supercharger so don't try telling me I don't know what I'm talking about.
