My house has the whole open concept thing - living, dining, kitchen are all one space. I have grown to dislike it immensely. I really want a kitchen that is separate. It looks nice but is totally impractical. The lack of walls makes it hard to arrange the living room furniture. I'll know better next time....
This article sends out quite a negative tone about many harmless ingredients (i.e. guar gum, autolyzed yeast extract, etc.) The authors need to brush up on their food ingredient technology.

I learned to drive (in the 1970's) in a Mercury Monterey. Sounds luxurious, doesn't it? It was the most hideous car on the road. My family called it the redneck-mobile. I was so embarassed to be seen in it.

I totally miss the original "Herbal Essence" shampoo and cream rinse! Oh, and my 20-something niece always teases us for saying "cream rinse" instead of "conditioner!" That's what they were called way back when.
