Renters DO benefit from it.  If landlords lose the tax break, rents will go up.

and even if someone is "elite"...why should he get soaked?  Yes, he should pay his fair share, but that's it.

haha!  what profits?  We took a 200k hit when we sold after 8 years.  And no, we did not short sell - WE took the hit because WE signed the papers.

I think the wealthy should pay their fair share, but why is a wealth tax fair?  If they earned it, it's THEIRS.  I have NO RIGHT to other people's money, regardless of how much they have or how little I have.

Why not, naaupono1?  we don't make that much, but why would I penalize someone who does?  They earn more - so what? We both get our fair deductions.
