@Tinbashr, that would work except that we cancelled our land line just this week. The only calls we ever got on the landline were sales calls or wrong numbers. The land line phones I had were cordless phones which did indeed go out whenever the power went out! The majority of homes with landlines have phones that are cordless. Just as worthless as your cell in that instance.

Why does having a cell phone mean you have to talk and text for hours? Isn't that ultimately up to you as to how much you use it? I have a cell phone which is used for home and business. I talk on it only as long as I wish. And the same goes for any texting I do.

It should have never been on the air in the first place!
