If you want to increase taxes (fairly) then go to the 'flat tax' and 'user tax' system only. Get rid of the deductions and the IRS ( or reduce it to a minimum anyway ) and everyone pays the same percent on their income and the same percent on their buying and acquisitions and sales.

OK, , you have good points, BUT, for the gun to go off, it had to have the hammer fully back and not down in the safety position (depending on make and model of course). I was in NY in 1961 for New Years Eve. I have seen no reason to return there since. It is dirty, streets have garbage, people are rude ( like they think New Yorkers are above the rest ).
The only thing that ever happened in NY that has bothered me was '911', and that was a national tragedy for all of us.
