I think this is partially true, especially when you first get your new vehicle. If small problems keep popping up your new love quickly disappears.
I leased a new 2009 Volkswagen Passat wagon, a very nice looking vehicle with many great items included in the base price. It gets very good mpg, overall about 26-27 comb...more
I'm 63, have been collecting SS since 62. Our home has no mortgage and we have no children. Our idea is to possibly take out a home equity line of credit, eventually. We feel, because we have no children to leave the house to it is to our advantage to use the equity we have in our home.
Car companies have to start realizing what a "BIG" investment ( poor one at that) a vehicle is. Even a new, top of the line Ford Explorer can top out in the
$50,000 ++ price range. Today in many parts of the US you can buy a house for this amount.

To me this attitude is like a one or two night winning streak gambling. You act like it wil...more
In my opinion incentives will make a comeback and rise, especially for leasing. Residual values are up, the 2012 models will soon be arriving in dealer show rooms. Many 2012 models will be drastically changed from their 2011 models both in appearance and technically.
So, how do you get rid of the 2011's left on the ...more
Gas prices up substantially, vehicle prices rising steadily, incentives dropping like a stone, jobless rate still very high what did auto manufacturers think would be happening.
Seems like these guys never seem to quite get it !

I have a problem when KBB makes no mention of the $7500.00 Fed. tax credit that is available for the Volt. Also, in some states additional credits are available. As far as I'm concerned these available credits are a huge factor in determining if this type of vehicle might be one of your choices.
So it should go witho...more
