Takes about 2 days to drive from CenTex to Vegas, but I'm seriously considering it. Leave on the weekend, get the cheap rates in Vegas during the week, and come back before the next weekend.  Probably still cheaper than flying there and stying over the weekend.

At dinner a local restaurant, gave the boy the last of the ice cream from the soft-serve machine. Loved it.  Was bouncing around in the high-chair for about 15 minutes, happy as could be, giggling and laughing at anything and everything.  Then zonk - out like a light.  Didn't wake until the next morning.

I've always hated the term "Adoption Fee" that most of these places use.  It really sounds like legaleese intent on avoiding some regulation or other. I don't mind paying it, as they need money to pay for the care of the animals they take in, and it often doesn't cover the true amount the probably spent on the animal...more
