Market cap calculation excludes the preferred shares closely held by the Ford family - the majority of voting control is still held by the family to prevent hostile takeovers.
Maybe it's because I drive Fords, or more likely because I'm not an idiot, but have you ever heard of routine maintenance? Even if you had the most reliable car in the world (bad news, you don't) you should still be taking it for service.

Tiredofblockbuster my 1993 Ford Probe GT has 230,000 miles on it and it runs like a top. My 96 PGT was smooth as glass at 160,000 when I sold it, and my 01 Lincoln LS will have 100,000 in a few weeks. I don't think you should try to predict the future....
