10 worst states to retire in

But the fact that there are nice, good people in each state doesn't change the crime rate, the life expectancy or the percentage of elderly living in poverty.  Why are you so annoyed about this?  What is negligent?

Why 68 has become the new 65

"we have to work 95% of our lives to only hope we can retire for ,what 8-10 years before we die...."   so 8 to 10 years is 5% of our lives - so you're planning to live until you're between 160 and 200 years old.  Working until 75 seems pretty reasonable by this math.

The great Social Security lie

I contribute more than I will ever take out.  But I don't mind subsidizing people who have been less fortunate than myself.  I sleep better at night this way.  Is that really the only rationalization you are doing, quick subtraction of what you get out from what you put in = bad deal unless that number is positive?

The great Social Security lie

Dotty, when you say, "NO ONE who has not put onto the system should EVER get to draw from it. " I hope you're including all those women who were stay at home moms and housewives (a large part of your cohort) who supported their working husbands but paid no tax, you know, like 'immigrants' (although, I'm an immigrant an...more
