Market sell-off is just beginning

Anthony is actually sticking his neck out calling today the turn.   Don't see much of that in these articles.  Personally I have been waiting for the turn for over a year and I'll keep waiting.  It hasn't made sense to me for a long time.

Jobs report pushes Dow above 14,000

Yes it's funny how the number they quote as being healthy has dropped from 350,000 to 250,000, to 150,000.

Jobs report pushes Dow above 14,000

There is simply too much money (a la FED) and no place for it to go but the stock market.  How you can have so many negative indicators and yet the market still skyrockets?  For a while the institutions would wait for good news days to dump money into the market.  Then it became Ok to pump it up on days where there was...more

Tupperware CEO blasts cheap US consumers

When the first coffee vending machines came out, they had trouble getting people to throw the paper cups away.  They would wash and save them.  It took a few decades but corporate america has trained us to treat everything as disposable.  I'm afraid tupperware got pulled along with that mindset.  Even though it might l...more

It's not new. The old recession never went away.  Take away the QEs and nothing is any better than it was in 08.   The Fed just bought some time for the financial institutions to get their feet back under them.

A huge gun investor exits the business

Bushmaster is just one of dozens of AR-15 makers.  They flatter themselves if they think they are that significant.  Cerberus is more likely concerned that profits will no longer meet expectations.    Most AR15 makers just assemble parts from other manufacturers onto their branded receiver.  It ain't rocket science....more

Retailers start to pull some rifles from...

Bushmaster is just on of dozens of AR-15 makers.  Well actually one of dozens of AR receiver makers.  There are far fewer people making barrels and bolts and such.  Machining the aluminium receivers is relatively easy so there are many many brands of ARs floating around.   Bushmaster just assembles other people's par...more
