Walmart style stores evolve as a result of progressively lower wages. This has been going on for decades. But we gotta start somewhere. Wages have to get higher.

If you watch documentaries about world wide farming,(the last one in India) Monsanto is busy driving those small subsistence farmers into suicide and starvation.

Factory farms are the design of the future...too bad. There must be some way not to use Monsanto's seeds, or at least, let Monsanto be responsible for getting there own seeds back. Any body?

like the writer said; it's just more convenient to steal food stuffs (and fence) than , say, a tanker of fuel or a truck load of cell phones. Why is this news when we should be talking about things like jobs, veteran disability claims, the culture of rape and assault in the military.

These are another example of 2 very bad people...for what ever reason, bad parenting, poor choices, etc. obviously doesn't just apply to "illegals". Look around your city, 1 or 2 of these kind of thugs stands out somewhere.

Bagless? No good, in my opinion, the dust and dirt have to go somewhere. The bag makes good, clean sense, regardless of the brand.

When Ronald Reagan was Gov of California, he stopped Mexican workers from crossing the border to work in California produce fields and sent many people on unemployment to do that work: The screeching of farm owners could be heard all the way to the capitol. Needless to say, this experiment didn't last long.
