Not to mention, try renting a car, booking a airfare or even checking into a hotel. You can still be a cash customer with a VISA card. Pay it off at the end of the month. Been doing it for years and I gladly keep the cash back rewards that go with it.

Wow, interesting comment. I think my strategy escaped you. My expected returns are small, but guaranteed - capital preservation. This is a short term strategy. Done it twice now and have preserved capital each time. As the market stabilizes again, the market may become a better place to invest.

Three days ago I moved ALL of my 401k from the market into treasuries. I may lose out on a few more good trading sessions, but the writing is on the wall, the government will not be able to continue to pump cheap money into the market. When they stop, the fall will come. CAVEAT EMPTOR!
