Then teach your kids to chop veggies.  Or set the table.  If they're too young for that, they can play on the floor of the kitchen with pots and pans.  Get over yourself.

These prices are ridiculous.  Even if you don't buy in bulk to bring the cost of yeast, bread, honey, apricots, sugar (and so on and so on), who in their right mind would pay that much for vanilla extract??  Find a canning jar, fill it with vodka or rum, and stick a sliced vanilla bean inside.  3 months later you have ...more
