I completely agree with how ridiculous this article is.
I just wanted to add an important factor to me: NUTRITION.
Please go to the websites of the restaurants mentioned above and see how much fat, sodium, and just total calories you consume eating out.
Cooking at home and bringing lunches to work is a great way ...more
"June Walbert, a certified financial planner with USAA, notes that going out to lunch can easily cost $10 a day."
Thanks June, I never would have figured that out on my own.
And what percentage of homes do you think have fax machines?
Hey realestlady - Please go away. Please stop telling people to buy a house with 3% down. I'm sure you don't care if they struggle for a full 30 years to pay it. Even if they don't struggle, only an idiot takes the full 30 to actually pay a mortgage.
Thank you so much for the simple math...b/c we are all morons her...more
Yup, buying my Galaxy Nexus when it comes out next week.
You have so many more options when you go with Android.
Looking forward to the Ice Cream Sandwhich OS.
I'm not saying the iphone 4s is a bad phone...I just feel like it's purchased by people who don't know any specs about phones. I don't want to be another...more
Salemite - Even if you don't own it 100%, you can still have equity in the home. Or maybe you just don't know how net worth is calculated.

2) The idiots that dart in and out of traffic, pass on the right, and then you meet up with them at the next red light.
dutch...what's your point?
Yes, you are living the free life until Mr. important on his cell phone drives right into the back of your new car (happened to me and I was sitting at a red light for several seconds before I got hit).
Some people are dangerous enough without the extra distractions.
LoneC, I don't blame you. That's exactly what people should do. Why stretch every dollar when you can live more comfortably somewhere else.
Right now I live in Charlotte, NC paying a lot less than I would back home.
I'm riding this out b/c just like you, I see massive deflation in housing values.

20% at least. My plan is to put down 50%.
I come from Boston and if you want to live in a nice town outside the city, then a very nice house will cost about $450K.
If you can't come up with 20%, regardless of where you live, then buying simply isn't for you.
Some people will never be able to buy and they need ...more
