only about 40-42% of US corn production is used for the production of ethanol. About the same (40%) is used for feeding livestock. However, about 1/3 of the corn by volume used for the production of ethanol is put back into livestock feed because it is unusable as fuel....more
Of course the author did not do the study on the banks, he is just reporting on the findings. And I would bet that all banks who are registered with the FDIC were all in the study.
