I think it should be done away with the fact that a spouse can draw on a divorced spouses work history.  I am now a retired teacher who had 5 children and am drawing a very small SS check each month.  I recently heard that my ex husband who is an alcoholic is drawing SS.  I wondered how this might be when he never work...more
