Buffet like Bloomberg was denied a credit card because they have no personal credit history...lol. They have people purchase all they need with corporate accounts.
While I hate credit, you need to be careful about handling credit disputes. Remember that if you ignore collection attempts, they can get a court order to grab funds from your savings and investment accounts, put liens on property and even take your vehicle. They also will charge you interest and lawyers fees. So alway...more
Fantastic Ken! You have the right idea. It worked for me too. People need to refuse to carry any debt of any kind. Especially credit card debt with interest rates from 9.9% to 29% when banks are currently paying you 0% on your deposits.

Then they pour salt on the wound by asking boomers to help fix a problem they had nothing to do with? It reminds me of corporate executives who raid pension funds for huge ...more
The truth is SS funds have been raided for general government expenses for years. You know, wars, foreign aid, and bailouts of every kind for everyone it seems. Then they reduced the payroll tax to spur the economy, and further speed the demise of the SS program. Turning SS into a federal welfare program through SSI w...more
I live in NYC, and cleared $115,000 last year after paying taxes. While that income might sound good to many people around the country, in NYC it gets you nothing literally. I am trying to save as much as I can, and planning to retire in Belize.
