US might be a 'nation of deadbeats'

Let's not discuss Trump, Hostess, Enron, mining companies and the other corporate deadbeats that declare bankruptcy, often multiple times. The corporate deadbeats that walk away form their debt and obligations. The corporate deadbeats that raid employee pension funds and shaft employees for salaries and pensions. The c...more

Dow falls 635 points in 6th-worst loss

Does anyone else wonder about the timing of these downgrades? Might the rating agencies be trying to hold us hostage and kill the regulatory bill in committee in the House?

Threats to Social Security, Medicare?

They should close the loopholes and remove the caps on social security income. Collect taxes on all earnings, public and private, including directors compensation, deferred compensations and bonuses, cash and non cash,, in the year awarded. No Caps, No Exceptions, Everybody Pays.
