So - about 3 years ago my perfectly healthy 25 year old husband (not overweight, no diabetes, non smoker) had bicycling accident and broke his femur Memorial Day weekend.  We had health insurance through my employer.  While he was in the hospital he was on blood thinner - apparently blood clots are a common side effect...more
