@MydogTonto, I was so glad to see your post.  I am not a spendthrift, but after working in hospice for many years, I saw that "saving" money is not the only goal.  I watched as people saved for the future to the point of not enjoying the present, and they became terminally ill and never got to do those "future" things....more

What I am wondering is why are any of us reading this stuff?  And why are we giving it credibility by commenting? :)  Must be a slow news day.

I made the move to a Credit Union last month.  It's not that I have a lot of money, but it sends a message.  Look what we little people said to Netflix.  Stop messing with us.  If each of us makes a move from the Big Banks, together, we have a BIG voice.

Netflix underestimated its customer base.  Doubling the rate in a down economy?  Well, we're mad as hell, and we told Netflix that we're not taking it anymore.  Shame on you, Netflix, for sticking it to your loyal customers.  I'm not coming back.
