Another big merger. This always means more big layoffs. Good for Wall St - Bad for Main St. Gee did you hear that economists were surprised that unemployment claims went up? But only for the 66th time! I hear they expect it to go down next month. They will eventually be right one time!
The nation is on the brink ...more
What about the increase in taxes everywhere. No one seems to comment on the dollars that are going to be removed going forward as every local town, city, municipalitiy and state try to balance their budgets. It will count - believe me , so let's not just ignore the obvious!
The stock market companies don't care about the economy. They know they can just keep laying off people until they show a handsome profit. They do not need a growing economy to be fat and happy.
The unemployment rate is climbing while thousands of 99er's drop out of the numbers every week. So it is getting worse than this % gives notice of. With no unemployment check to contribute to spending in the economy, it is spiraling downward for the second half!
And with ALL of the Bad news you ignored, we should forget it and it will go away? Where do we file that whole list that you choose to totally ignore??? Or do we just look the other way?
Apparently the government must back in to the Unemployment % because it doesn't matter how many jobs we add or subtract, the % is always the same every month. Doesn't anyone find that strange?
