In the vast majority of cases, the person to blame for not being further along in your life is the person you look at in the mirror.  That observation holds up across all generational lines.

The IRS is just the bureaucracy given the job of enforcing the rules written by Congress.  It is not the fault of the IRS if the Congress is too incompetent or fearful to draft a workable law or fully define what it is that they want to regulate, and how.
