I love pits but way too many irresponsible owners and breeding back yard sh*t for money.  It IS true. ANY breed of dog, even the most docile of pets can revert back to feral dog instincts when allowed to roam loose in a "Pack." People! Keep ypour pets contained and be a responsible pet owner!!
