I have long thought traffic tickets should be progressively based on financial status. When someone is issued a ticket, say for speeding, the fine is both to punish and to correct. A person earning $10 per hour would certainly feel the bite of a $200 ticket. But a wealthy person would only shrug it off as a petty fine...more
