Debt collectors are not scum of the earth as "Someone" states.  Debt collectors would be immediatlely out of business if the consumer would just honor his commitment when credit was extended.  It seems to me the scum of the earth as "Someone" refers to, would be those who look for a way to avoid their obligation.  The ...more

Top 10 consumer complaints

Regarding no. 2, debt collection.  Why didn't they mention paying the debt as a possibility and clearly the best alternative.  Obviously someone extended credit to an individual who now has a past due account.  Is avoiding the debt  their way of saying "thanks for trusting me and giving me credit when I really needed i...more
