At my supermarket there is always "used meat" and it is frozen already. I always pick up at least some ground beef and it helps keep things cold in my insulated bag on the way home. Why would you not buy it this way?
These eye exams and any of the "free" or $29 exams at eyeglass places are probably given by optometrists, not ophthalmologists. These exams will not be as thorough, so if there's any chance at all of problems, or even if there isn't, especially as you age, find the money to see an ophthalmologist. Don't be penny wis...more
Congrats on your new gig. I love most of your frugal ideas. But I'll pass on this one. If I have to arrive up to 90 minutes in advance to ensure getting in, I'd rather pay $5 for the matinee or wait for the dvd. Time is $$$$$ and waiting in line is not my idea of a good time.

Re: the $10 fee on anyone convicted of Internet crimes against children in Virginia and the state collecting $2 million from this fee in fiscal 2011. Do the math...that would mean 200,000 offenders..I don't think so. Makes you wonder about the credibility of the rest of this article.
$7...a little more than 20% on $30. The extra change would mean little to us, but if everyone did that for their servers, the college kid, single mom, or whoever has to do this work in these places might have an easier go of it.
