Getting food stamps beats the hell out of working.  As I said many years ago, hunger is a great motivator.  It also reduces unemployment.

I like this one the best.  Everybody knows that the speed of light is theoretically the fastest speed in the universe.  Light travels 186,000 miles a SECOND.  In order for a beam of light to travel a trillion miles, it would take 60 days.

Well if I take your logic a little further, I guess he could have driven the entire 3,000,000 miles in one day and let the Volvo sit in the garage the other 45 years and 364 days.

I also wonder if this story is accurate.  Assuming one drives a 46 year old car 3,000,000 miles that means he would have to drive an average of 179 miles a day, 365 days a year, for 46 years.  That is a long time behind the wheel.
