I'm a large woman who was extremely uncomfortable flying on Southwest. Paying for two seats on that airline won't help because the seats have permanent dividers between them. Unless you fancy sitting for a few hours on a rail that sits in your butt crack, don't fly Southwest.

I've had Keurig machines for five years and almost always use the refillable My K-Cups with my own freshly ground Colombian Supremo coffee beans from Costco at a cost of $5.50 per pound. I'd much rather wear boots in the winter and carry the dressy shoes to put on once I get inside. These "grippers" only provide a small area of slip protection, the rest of your shoe sole is still going to slip, especially the heel. Be smart and don't wear stupid shoes in slippery conditions.
I got rid of my land line telephone and replaced it with VOIP (voice over internet protocol) phone service for less than $5.00 per month after initial equipment costs of about $200. The VOIP equipment paid for itself in lower phone bills in less than a year and the quality is equal to my land line.

I have lots of halogen lights, including three floor lamps and two three desk lamps, and have never had a fire. Halogens only have fire dangers when people do stupid things like drape a scarf over the top of the lamp to make it dimmer, rather than turning it off. Anything can be hazardous if it is misused.
I bake my own bread most of the time and it only costs me about 50 cents a loaf, even for whole wheat. It works perfectly. Twenty pounds of all-purpose higher fiber flour at Costco is less than $10.00. A two pound bag of yeast at Costco is less than $5.00. Just keep a small jar in the refrigerator and the rest in ...more
