The Glass and Steagall Act was repealed by an act in traduced by three republicans.  The bill was passed in 1999 when Republicans were the majority.  I believe that only certain portions were appealed.  You can't blame any party in it's entirety.

Put politicians on Social Security, make them contribute at the same rate as everyone else (or make them contribute, period) with the same restrictions and watch them make social security what it was meant to be.

To guarantee that SS would continue Americans need to demand that all politicians elected or appointed, Federal, State and County, who take office after 2011 contribute to SS.  Their retirement would be based on their years of service and SS payments.  They would fix SS within a few days.

My wife and I both quit college and went to work full time.  We invested regularly and worked hard.  When times were good we invested 25% of our salaries.  When times were bad we worked harder and invested 25% of our salaries.  We both retired, prior to 55 years old, and have a combined income of over $90,000 a year.  ...more

You have got to be kidding!  Pia was my choice for top three and now she is gone when Steffano should ave been gone long ago.  Jacob should also have been eliminated before Pia.  I'll be busy on Wednesday night from now until the end of the season.  Busy watching something else.
