Why would I want to put down a 20% down payment on a purchase that no longer appreciates as in years past.  You might as well take that money and burn it, as it likely goes to the CEO's of banks.  I don't agree that there should be some fiscal responsiblity on the buyers, but maybe that 20% should be used as collateral...more
