I don't really understand where you're coming from. I understand coupons are a form of marketing. If a company wants me to try their product and I don't have to pay for it, I'm going to buy that product. Probably once.
I consider myself a very careful shopper and I'm sure the charities I donate to on a regular basis...more
Hi. This was my comment post. If I didn't live it I wouldn't have believed it either!
Perhaps I over-simplified what I'm saving money on.- I'm saving money on everything.
Not just toiletries. That's my biggest savings area. Clothing, food, meals out also.
In addition to using manufacturers coupons I take advantage...more
I started to clip coupons in preparation for a potential job loss December 2008. When my job situation stabilized I continued to clip coupons since I found I was saving a lot of money. I was probably spending $100 or more on toiletries and sundries at the best discount store in town and dollar stores and was now spendi...more
Coupon fraud trickles down and hurts those who can least afford it. Many of the folks in my coupon trading group consist of young families living on low to moderate incomes. I am packing for a trip overseas in few days. (A real splurge!).
One of the items I'm packing is a fabulous dress that makes me look like a million bucks. It seriously looks like it was tailor made for me.
This sparkly number (bejeweled with small, black rhinestones) set me back about $5 at a local Thrift store...more
I had orthodontics as a child and wasn't able to wear my retainers so ended up with "late" braces at 46 due to issues with my teeth.
I ended up with a minor oral surgery to correct a defect not diagnosed when I was younger. I have been out of braces for several years now and it was the best quality of life improveme...more
Wow! I, for one, appreciate your post. I have a plan to give my nieces a nice little gift of products to pamper themselves - fragrant lotions and body washes, nail polish and lip gloss purchased cheaply at the drugstores when they're on sale. It costs us a bundle to drive to the relatives' houses so it's great to save ...more
My husband and I eloped when we were stationed overseas with the Navy. The hall we rented was not available so we had the reception at a local sports club (paid for in part by the canceled venue).. The bachelors each brought a bottle to stock the bar, I think we bought 2 bottles of champaign and soft drinks for the gue...more
I have always budgeted for dental care and am not sorry. Several years ago my dentist recommended braces because my crooked teeth were causing problems. Along the way I was alerted to other problems that were corrected. I was not happy since I'd had braces as a child but didn't follow the correct after-care and my tee...more
