Bill Hader: I'm Leaving 'SNL'

Ditto Jack.   I've been hearing people say "SNL isn't the same" or "SNL isn't any good since (insert name here) left" for an awful long time.   If it was really as bad as these people think, does anyone think NBC would have kept it on the air all this time?   Of course not!   I have a feeling a lot of the SNL hater...more

Bill Hader: I'm Leaving 'SNL'

Gotta LOVE Hader!  (get it? Ha!)   In response to the SNL's never going to be the same posts, there are some very funny cast members still on the show; Armisen, Killam, Bayer, McKinnon, Sudeikis, Pedrad, Moynihan, Thompson, Strong and Pharoah are all very funny.  What I'll miss is Bill Hader's impressions and his c...more

'The Voice' top 12: Best cast yet

The Swons look like they just stepped off the set of Varsity Blues or Dawson's Creek. My wife and I actually refer to them as Dawson & Creek.

Will Disney's new Tonto be any better?

I'd like to take a minute to defend previous depictions of Tonto, specifically the one by Jay Silverheels.   I think most of the people who view Tonto as a negative haven't really watched the old Lone Ranger TV series.  They hear the broken English, see the buckskin outfit and write off the character as a stereotype.  ...more

While I assume he would know the difference, why would Neil deGrasse Tyson feel compelled to explain the difference between Modernism and post-Modernism to anyone.   The guy is an astrophysicist.

Of course.  One of the show's most memorable characters.

And they watch 30 Rock too, right Dennis?   Prometheus (if that IS your real name...), I suppose you eschew all television viewing, save the occasional PBS special on the life cycle of the dung beetle.   Even Shakespeare wrote comedies with an appeal to the masses.

Could contract negotiations split up 'Th...

You all know, this is how business is operated and always has been, don't you?   Two parties negotiate, in this case the actors and the studio, and they either come to a mutual agreement or they don't, period.   If they come to an agreement, you'll see these actors reprise their roles from the first Avengers movie, ...more
