I outfitted our kitchen when I married with dollar tree store cooking utensils, glass plates, and dish towels and 15 years later I still use most of the items daily. The only exception was the towels that wore out about 5 years ago. LOL, the stuff lasted longer than my marriage.

Unless you know and trust the owner personally don't buy used upholstered furniture; the risk of bed bugs is too great.  Bed bugs don't just show up in mattresses they can be in any soft furniture.
