We DO have trade schools. I don't think turning all schools into just job training is a good long term approach.

You can cut the cost drastically by going to a public university. Even then, many students work, use grants, AND take out loans.
I wonder if their on-campus work is going to pay enough more than a typical student job to offset the high tuition...

When they say their workers lack skills, what they mean is that they can't hire skilled workers for the wages they are willing to pay. It's the same when they say they can't find people to fill open jobs - what they MEAN is that nobody qualified will apply at the wage they are offering.
