I think maybe it's the fact that we know more about mental illnesses now than we did a few years ago.   Maybe people are not as afraid to talk about a loved one who is suffering from an illness.   Society is actually more aware than a few years ago as well.

Behavior modification will not work if a child is unstable.  Get the child stable, then do the behavior work.

Good for you.  This child is behind socially because of his constant episodes and brain chemistry.   If and when he gets the proper treatment, he will advance.  Please have understanding .  Do some research on childhood mental illnesses.  Oh, and BTW, I am 57 and love Harry Potter.
