Why we're headed over the fiscal cliff

In the US, too many regulations, too many unions, too much EPA, too much OSHA, too many lawyers and lawsuits, too many taxes, too much spending  - all that in addition to too many employees who think they are entitled. Yes - corporations are going overseas. Big surprise.

The economy is weaker than it looks

I'm complaining about Obama and his administration for a lot of reasons and today it is for allowing Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans to be murdered by Muslims while requests to go to their aide was denied three times. Does that strike a Biblical cord with anyone else?

Newsweek won't be last to go all digital

Newsweek has been a leftist rag since at least 1969 when I was in Vietnam. I wish it would fail altogether. Given time, perhaps it will.

Why Romney won't release his tax returns...

What's the big ado? Obama's records are all sealed - college transcripts, applications, Harvard Law Review, income sources traveling all over the world as a teenager with no visible means of support. Banging on Romney for transparency by the Obama crowd is hypocrisy to the nth degree.

After Palin fiasco, will Romney risk a w...

Palin believes in self-reliance and hard work and the Constitution as written, not as "interpreted". Obama believes he should use the power of the federal government to steal from one group of people to give to other groups of people so he can be re-elected and Michelle can continue to party on the tax payer's dime. Who benefits from health care ruling?

Your question about the moral issue is appropriate: why should the government use their power to take from you and give to someone else? The short answer is - their is absolutely no moral basis upon which to do that. It is a raw and ugly abuse of government power. That said, the current old geezers went through the sam...more
