If you want good pay, great health insurance, work a few hours a day, a few days a week, plenty of vacation time, and do virtually nothing, run for Congress.
What about the cruise line industry that pays no federal income tax? What about GE? How many other companies or even industries that manage to get their taxes down to nothing or even get refunds?
Before complaining about "Obamacare" and workers' compensation, these companies should publicly state the compensation and benefits packages the top management get. I venture to say that even if the company loses (even if it their fault), their compensation continues to rise.
But if people stop eating fast foods, they might become healthier.
All the more reason for health care to be completely divorced from employment. They are totally separate issues.
Companies such as Cruise Lines pay no federal or state income taxes. Stop allowing them and other corporations use technicalities to avoid and evade taxes. If we start a war, we need to pay for it.
