Well, let us consider, in the 18th century we had to import Britsh killers to curb population growth here.    Since the British are no longer available to 'trim the herd,' we are most fortunate that the NRA ensures that domestic murderers will easily be able to 'pick up the slack.'  Way to go NRA!
