WOW!! Who allowed this to be published? What a **** article. I think just about everything in this article is twisted to some extent or another... Way to go in writing the most slanted, bias article that I've read today.
Hmmm, last I checked US gov't debt was sitting at $15.1 trillion... not $13.1 trillion. Where did you get that figure?
Also, it is stated that, "The trend in lost net income most likely started in 2007, when household net worth crested at $66.8 billion. But four years later, that figure has plunged to $57.4 trillion...more
My bad, that was just my first inclination. ACTUALLY... the average "salary"/wage in 1970 was $6186(so more than 3 times what you listed). Your number for 2009 is spot on, so I have to wonder where you got the number for 1970. Here's where I got my data. http://www.ssa.gov/o act/cola/AWI.html
Hey uh... Anythony, where did you get your "average salary" statistic for 1970. Looks to me that it's about half what it should be. When you state numbers/facts in journalism they should generally be checked though. I'm not blaming you, but whoever edits your stuff SUCKS. Go check your facts. I like how you've reversed...more
Haha... funny, I read almost every article this guy writes. He's had a radical change in perspective lately... He's been bearish for at least 2 months, suddenly he realizes what I'VE been saying all along. I also might mention that the market has been skipping along the bottom(while volatile), for the past 2 months. He...more
Who the hell edits this crap? Overall a decent article, but I couldn't get past the author saying, "anything to avoid raising taxes on the wealthy and upset the dismal House Speaker John Boehner bunch."
Seriously? This would have been a great article if such a low, petty, biased insult wasn't included. What was the ...more
@jerrjp... not very good at math are we? The article clearly says that on average the wealthiest pay 21.5% in income tax(not to mention property, sales, state income tax, social security, medicare/medicaid, etc.) Pretty easy to figure out 21.5% of that $800k/month salary you're ranting about. It's not $40k but $172k. T...more
