If bank assets are way up...maybe the govt. should skim off 30% to help pay down the national debt.  After all,where did most of that "wealth" come from?? I think I will start offering discounts to my customers paying with gold or real silver.

I pay $110/week (yes,per week) to live on my own property here in Taxachusetts. That is JUST real estate taxes to the town,and I live out in the boonies in a very modest home. The closer you get to Bosstown,the worse it is.  Between the taxes and the crappy weather....why stay? After 55 years,I'm ready to try something...more

The stock market is like a giant money vacuum cleaner.It sucks up as much as it can,and then the insiders empty the bag into their pockets,and install another bag to fill.  Pure and simple.  If you can ride the wave up and get out before they empty the bag,lucky you. ^Agreed!  The Ebay fees have become unreasonable..I mostly use Craigslist now for selling items I no longer need. When Ebay started to take 10% of the actual shipping fees from everyone,I asked..why? They said many sellers sell $100 items for $20 and charge $80 "shipping" to avoid paying the commission on the whole sal...more

The third stage of economic grief

The only thing I haven't done is build a "bomb" shelter...I do believe it will have to be on wheels or tracks at this point to be of any value. Hmm... scary times.  Good thing we still have the first amendment....
