I believe that talking to a dog, even trying to "explain" something to a dog, makes a little bit of sense, even though I don't think very many dogs understand the words I might be saying.  However, I think my attempt to communicate in words triggers me to send emotional and body language signals that a dog reads.  Prob...more

When I was teaching a few years ago, we had an office call button we jokingly called the "panic button."  On my last day before leaving that school, two students cornered me and blocked me from seeing that another student was tearing the "panic button" out of the wall.
