Exactly- when I watched in the 80s, they had Louis and Maria. I LOVED them. I do believe it was their characters that taught me how to count in Spanish- well, to count to 10 anyway. It was great exposure for a white kid in a poorer area of the rural south- this was back before Mexican immigrants were commonplace outsi...more
Locally owned, non-franchise places aren't immune to poor service or food quality, sadly. I frequent lots of mom-and-pops in my area, and while many are great, there are some duds out there. Clearly, running a food-service business, at any level, is challenging- I think it'd be tricky to keep quality high at the right ...more
Why all the assumptions that all BO supporters are freeloaders and sponges? I am a reduced price lunch kid who worked hard, got a degree, and now continues to work hard to earn my comfortable salary. I am satisfied paying the taxes I pay and am willing to pay even a little more if it guarantees that today's younger peo...more

The folks who had to take in their "fix or repair daily"s to the shop numerous times were burned by having to spend so much of their limited funds on repair bi...more
I just googled "2014 mustang" and saw pics of the potential concept car. Some of them were pretty attractive imo and didn't really look like a Ford Fusion to me. Also, the general speculation is the new car will have some variant of an Ecoboost engine in it (either 4-banger or V6), so it should still offer good perfor...more
One of the cited reasons for a new euro-redesign is to improve fuel economy to meet newer standards- yet the current mustang is available with the new Ford ecoboost V6, capable of 300 hp but only 30 mpg. I think Ford is more interested in appealing to a broader (and younger) base of buyers with an exciting new style. ...more
