This is only history repeating itself.  Apple is great at releasing innovative "prototypes".  However while other companies continue to advance the design Apple sits on it's hands selling "pretty" overpriced and underpowered devices.

Apple has a long history.  They know how to release new products with innovative concepts but they do not know how to maintain market share on those products over the long haul.  Without Steve Jobs they are done... Get out while the going is good...

Woman pick their men.  How many abused women turned down a nice guy when he asked them out and instead said yes to a jerk who later beat them?  From that point of view women "did" bring the abuse upon themselves.  Of course it would be absurd to expect them to be responsible for the consequences of their choice...
