Wealth is not a constant. There is obviously more wealth even today after so much wealth destruction of the last few years than there was 50 years ago. The concept that wealth is a constant is the myth that socialist would like to perpetuate under "redistribute the wealth" banner.

The debate should be about how to distribute the wealth the combination of labor, capital, and materials creates in our society.
