We have death panels right now--the family and friends of the afflicted. We don't need the government making life and death decisions for us. These people know the facts better than a government appointed panel. The author's fallacy is he doesn't believe that given the chance people can make the right decision.
OMG, printing or miniting new money just passes the buck. We need to stop spending money we don't have. I'd be willing to pay more taxes if they were fair (which is unlikely to happen with the politcians we have now) AND they are appropriate cuts in spending! Gone with the Wind and the Wizard of Oz are two of my least favorite "classic" movies of all time. While I wouldn't include Raiders, SOTL and Stalag 17 on my list, they are darn good movies.
Much prefer Citizen Kane to Vertigo, especially since it had more influence on the way movies were made.
