Love it.  Re: the question about how much you drink-I grew up with, married one and listened to many, many alcoholics.  The answer is always "2 Beers".  LOL  even when they're stopped and blow a .12 or higher.  Saw one in the lab leaving a pre op sample that looked like coffee and heard her tell Dr. she only drank 2 be...more

Chuck E. Cheese's caught in gambling con...

Oh yeah, and we must take those "claw" machines out of stores and restaurants. I once watched and older couple put upwards of $20 in one trying to get a $5 stuffed animal for a kid.  Sheesh, go to Target.  And at least the kids have some fun and burn energy.  Get a life people and become responsible for it.

Big LOL.  This tops the stupid list for me.  I once sat in a restaurant and watched a 40-50ish couple put about $30 in one of those claw machines to get a stuffed toy to take to a grandchild.  I kept thinking "Go to Target and buy one for lots less."  The thrill of the sport?

5 things dumber than a lottery ticket

Good article.  I, too, will take a chance with a couple of bucks now and then.  I don't buy tons of tickets, or as you say, drink beer, etc. so why not have a little "dream fun" now and then.  Those that do spend the paycheck have another kind of problem and would find something else.

That's SOP in any Corporation.  Highly paid (so called) management and poor product or food.  Look at what's happening to JCPenny and to Twinkies aka Hostess Bakeries.

Yes, I am so tired of hearing "tax hike".  It has always been known as a temporary reduction.  Now it's back to the prior level.  If anyone took on 2% more installment debt based on it, well they're just not too smart.  Instead should have put 1/2 or so back some way and used the rest to pay debt down.

Wal-Mart mulls health coverage for small...

Wal-Mart needs to take care of it's own employees first before lining their pockets with more.  I will not shop them unless or until it becomes an absolute necessity.  In AZ they told new hires that they knew they could not afford company health ins. and gave them forms to apply for state ins. so we the taxpayer could ...more

Wal-Mart wants to save the Twinkie

Well, I never liked Twinkies or even the other Hostess cupcakes.  Back in the '40's or so they only had the cupcakes with no filling inside for a nickel.  Then came the "decorated" filled ones for a dime.  To me they were too dry and Twinkies too sweet.  But let WalMart get them, they'll go to China, and be filled with...more
