These crash tests are BS. Put my Chevy 3500 Pickup in a head on crash with a Civic or any other small car and see who walks away   the pick up will drive over them like a Japanese speed bump.  Do the math inches higher and almost twice the weight.

unlike the volt that can go extended distances  with it's gas engine charging the battery, the leaf is all electric with limited distance. so i expect to see idiots that try to go that extra mile stuck on the highway, with no way to get it moving except a tow truck. go with the volt
