It's just safer not to ride one.  I understand the thrill of acceleration and being out in the open air.  There is a reason I call them death machines.  I don't feel the least bit sorry for anyone who is injured or killed.   It seems like a lot of the posts are blaming drivers.  People have been driving worse since we ...more

I am sick of people comparing the tax rates of the 50's and 60's (90%) to today's.  I will agree with you if you can tell me one thing that is the same today as it was back then.  Apples to oranges.

Study: Tax credit was bad deal for homeb...

Thanks captain hindsight!!!  Nobody knew how far down prices would go.  The gov't does a lot of stupid and wasteful things, but this was not one of them.  It all of those people would not have purchased homes, the economy would have been worse off and inventories would have been larger.  Who knows how bad the numbers w...more

My total dollars, say 90K still took advantage of the rebound even with the loan.  They did not drop my vested interest!  Great 401K, I guess.  I know my 401K will be taxed at the end, but it has not been taxed yet.  That's why you find the most friendly state in terms of taxes, live and work there for 6 mos to a year,...more

Since 2000, I have earned 6.27% back on my 401K.  (Tom R) That's pretty freaking close to 7%.  We recently took out a 401K loan to help us buy a house.  We pay ourselves back the interest at 5.5%.  So when the market was tanking back in 2009, I was earning (saving) that 5.5%.  When that loan is up, I am going to take o...more

I am a manager at Costco and have purchased two vehicles through this program.  I think we were taken advantage of the first time I used this program for my wife's 2007 CRV.  Given that is a popular vehicle in the Northwest and the dealer was a week out on deliveries, but the rep never showed us the Costco only price s...more
