Just following in the footsteps of the modern American entertainment industry - rehash, remake, reboot. Action movies and sitcoms are the worst offenders, I believe. (I'll stop there, and spare you my long, arm-flailing rant against Michael Bay.)

Well, if the movies are done with the same beautiful scope and masterful intricacy as the first, go ahead and lay a trilogy on me. If he goes all George Lucas on us, I'll pass. (I doubt that will happen, and I plan on having my sleepy butt parked in a seat at the midnight premiere!)

A few seasons ago, squirrels managed to make off with every tomato off my single vine, and a chipmunk dug up every bulb of garlic I planted. My best theory is that they were working together to open the world's tiniest Italian restaurant.
